DAILY TOURS
12 ISLANDS :"Once you come to Fethiye, you have to go on 12 Islands Boat Cruise. The hundreds of double-Decker boats you see in Fethiye as you wonder around the marina and the harbour, are ready to take you to this tour. If you want to enjoy the sun, then your place is upstairs; but be careful because, the sun burns you a bit too much and you don't feel it since it will be quite windy on the sea. You'll feel it at night after the shower, which usually ends up with the creams and lotions the doctor gives. But if you want to enjoy the tour in the shade and watch around, you'd better stay downstairs drinking your tea, coffee, or a cold drink (maybe playing backgammon with the crew!). I suggest you to look around carefully in this tour. Because you have the chance to see the dolphins, flying fish, and even the sea turtles!!! The tour is usually made up from five stops.

KABAK KOYU : Like Butterfly Valley, this is a relatively untouched bay. Once there, you can trek through the pine forest to the waterfalls and/or you can swim in the bay in relative silence. A small restaurant serves lunch that is included in the price of the excursion. The bay is located near Butterfly Valley, therefore, you will be shuttled back and forth by boat. |
KAYA
KÖYÜ - MOSAICS OF CULTURES : Beyond the Fethiye fortress going south, if you follow the road climbing up to the slope some 7km. you cam come to a magnificent lowland where Anatolion Greeks had lived until 1922 Greeks called the town Levissi in the past. Kaya Köyü in year 1922 during the exchange of Turks in Tharece with Anatolian Greeks was evacuated and the new residents did not take up the existing houses. Kayabecome a "Ghost Town" as an abandoned town after 1923. 2 churches, chapels, numerous houses, schools, library, hospital, workshops and the other structures will be renovated soon according to a project which is made by The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies and The Chamber Of Turkish Architects. After the renovation, Kaya Köyü will serve as the lace of "Piece&Friendship Village" and be protected forever. |
SAKLIKENT
GORGE :High in the mountains above Fethiye rushing torrents cut a narrow gorge/canyon through the mountains, creating Saklýkent Gorge.A cool refuge on hot summer days, Saklýkent Gorge is a favorite picnic spot with rustic reataurants serving delectable fresh trout. It is a natural wonder. The Canyon is 300 meters deep and 18 km. long, sedulting from the abrasion of the rocks by flowing waters over thousands of years. |
PATARA :This ancient site was once the principal port of Lycia, but over the years the harbour silted up and an immense sandbank accumulated over the city. The result is a fantastic beach of creamy-white sand, which stretches for miles and miles. Home to the loggerhead turtle for the last 95,000 years, it is protected from development and its wild beauty and sense of isolation make it a wonderful place to unwind. There is a café selling snacks and cold drinks and you can rent a beach umbrella to protect you from the heat of the mid-day sun. This beach recently beat the Caribbean and Indian Ocean in a competition to be voted the ‘Best natural beach in the world’ in a Sunday Times survey. |
TLOS :Located at 28 Km. from Fethiye, Tlos is one of the oldest residential areas of Lycia and one of the few cities, which continued its existence up to the 19th Century. Tlos is known as "the sport centre" of Lycian Federation and was the home of mythological winged horse Pegasus and his hero Bellorophonte. Acropolis, temple type tomb of Bellorophonte, Stadiumbath complex, and theatre are some of the structures coming ftom early periods of Tlos. |
DALYAN :The town of Köyceðiz lies at the northern end of a lake of the same name and is joinned to the Mediterranean by a natural channel. This unique environment is being preserved as a natura and wildlife sanctuary. A road shadded with aromatic frankincense trees leads to the tiny village of Dalyan on the inland waterway. The maze of channels is easily explored by boat as you immerse yourself in this tranquil dream world. The restaurants which line the watersway specialize in delicious meals of fresh fish. High on the cliff face, at a bend in the river, above the fascinating ancient harbor city of Counos, magnificent tombs were carved into the rock.
